With a range of mat and reformer classes (including heated at select locations), you’re guaranteed to get hands-on attention and a serious burn here. Even better, each studio is light, bright, and filled with fresh greenery, meaning it’s not a bad place to get a sweat on. They’ve also got a comprehensive at-home plan, and frequently run challenges, for those who aren’t able to make it to a studio.

12. D-F Studio (Manly)

They offer yin, vinyasa, slow flow, prenatal yoga and mat Pilates classes, as well as a beginners program and bespoke workshops and retreats. Their timetables are released a few weeks in advance, and they offer both weekly unlimited and yearly membership offers. If you’re new to the studio, there’s a $59 three-week Introductory Offer, but they also have a ‘Ritual Membership’ if you’d like to drop in to a single class per week, but at a lower price than the regular drop-in fee. Mat hires are available here too.

What is pilates?

Pilates is an exercise that uses almost every muscle in the body, pushing beyond the physical benefits and into the mind. Being a low-impact strength workout, the core-based exercise strengthens muscles, improving your mobility and flexibility while preventing the chance of neck and back pains in life. In Pilates while you workout, you tap into a form of focus that quiets the mind and acts as a form of meditation, calming the nervous system.

That’s why I believe finding your studio and community for Pilates is quite important. The rhythm, size of the class, and instructor makes all the difference in finding a safe space to practice and enjoy your classes. Luckily in the world of Pilates, it’s all about crafting the experience to the individual. Whether you do mat classes, or prefer the reformer, they are all customisable with weight and resistance to each person’s level of comfort. That while the Pilate shakes are real, you won’t be shaking uncontrollably, but left reaping the benefits.

When I first started reformer Pilates I was nervous at the thought of starting a new form of exercise, that from the outside can look intimidating. This lead me to trying a Pilates studio that held personal classes of four, that happened to be part of a physiotherapist, so I felt as if I was in safe hands. Two years on and Pilates is my religion, my sermon if you will.

Committing to a workout can be challenging, both mentally and physically. But attempting to exercise in an ill-fitting or uncomfortable sports bra presents a whole new challenge in itself.

From underwire that digs in in all the wrong places, to cups that provide less-than-ideal support, a sports bra has the ability to make — or break — your sweat session. Whether you’re a runner gearing up for marathon season, or a regular on the Pilates reformer, or a it’s a predicament you’ll know all too well.

Want to feel supported next time you hit the pavement, the studio, or the gym? Below, the RUSSH edit of the best sports bras, and why we love them.

LSKD Accelerate Sports Bra

lskd

Support level: medium

Great for: running, training

A good sports bra should feel supportive, but not restrictive. This was the design premise for LSKD’s hugely popular Accelerate Sports Bra. It’s made from buttery soft material, but has features like customisable straps, a 3-hook bra clasp, and a cooling mesh vent. It’s also made from multiple layers of their compressive Rep Fabric, which keeps everything in place while you pick up the pace. And, if you’ve been fantasising about crossing the finish line at your next running event in a vibrant matching set, LSKD has got you covered: this bra comes in so many cute colours, and there are plenty of matching shorts, too.

Lululemon Flow Y Bra Nulu

lululemon bra

Support level: light

Great for: yoga

For those workouts where you want to feel like you’re wearing nothing at all, let this be your go-to. By now, you’re probably well acquainted with Lululemon’s famous Nulu fabric, but we’ll remind you nonetheless just how buttery soft and weightless it is. It’s also sweat-wicking, so it will go the distance if you’re a fan of hot yoga.

New Balance NB Essential Run Bra

Support level: high

Great for: running

This bra was designed with your next run in mind, with maximum inbuilt support to control every bounce. There’s fast-drying technology to wick moisture away and keep you dry during the longest, sweatiest routes, plus built-in padding, adjustable straps, and a customisable hook-and-eye closure. And supportive shouldn’t mean uncomfortable, so there’s an elastic bottom-band to stop you feeling restricted, and soft seams designed to stop chafing.

Nimble In Motion Scoop Bra

Support level: medium

Great for: Pilates

Soft, sculpting, and made to move with you, this style is ideal for low-impact workouts or off-duty days. The longer line fit has a flattering, gently compressive feel — and, importantly, won’t ride up as you move. And designed with removable cups and a wide underbust band, it stays in place without digging in. Best for studio sessions, stretching, or layering post-workout under a loose knit.

Berlei Electrify Underwire Bra

Support level: high

Great for: running, dancing, HIIT

Designed for high-impact movement, the Electrify Underwire Bra delivers serious support without sacrificing comfort. Each cup supports individually—minimising bounce whether you’re jogging, playing tennis, or mid-dance class. Customisable cross-back straps and breathable mesh panels keep things cool, while sizes A to E mean it’s easy to find your best fit.

Nike Swoosh

Support level: medium

Great for: training, pilates

A classic, and for good reason. Reliable and minimal, this bra delivers medium support for training sessions that need just the right amount of hold. With a snug compression fit and classic racerback cut, it’s built to keep you supported through things like spin and boxing. The smooth, sweat-wicking fabric keeps you cool and dry, while the no-fuss pullover design makes it an easy everyday go-to.

ON Studio recycled sports bra

on bra

Support level: light

Great for: yoga, Pilates

This bra delivers on light, low-impact support with a barely-there feel. Its silky-smooth fabric and gentle elastic underband move with you, while moisture-wicking materials and a breathable power mesh liner help keep you dry. The strappy open back enhances ventilation and range of motion—perfect for yoga, barre, or simply lounging in.

It’s no secret that Melbourne has one of the most intense winters on the east coast. And when the city’s chill really begins to set in, motivation to stay active can seriously wain. Enter hot Pilates: a typical mat or reformer class with the intensity (and the temperature) dialled up a few notches. Not only does it make getting a sweat on a little bit easier, but it can also boost circulation, increase flexibility, and deliver a burn that lasts long after you do your last rep.

Want to try it for yourself? Here are our favourite hot pilates studios turning up the heat across Melbourne.

1. Upstate Studios

2. Love Athletica

Think of Love Athletica as a kind of HIIT-meets-Pilates fusion. Their signature sessions fuse reformer Pilates with cardio bursts, prop-based strength work, and yoga-style stretching. The rooms are dimly lit, which makes it easy to really lock in for the duration of the class. And if that wasn’t enough, hot mat classes are now regular inclusions on the schedule, for those craving an extra challenge.

3. Pilates Republic

When winter sets in, it’s hard to find motivation — unless the room’s already heated to 40 degrees.

Hot Pilates has quickly become Sydney’s go-to for a workout that’s equal parts sculpting and sweat therapy. Whether it’s mat or reformer, these classes are high-energy, low-impact, and set in infrared-heated rooms designed to boost circulation, fire up your muscles, and keep the seasonal slump at bay.

If you’re after a burn that feels as good as it looks, these are the Sydney studios delivering the heat.

Training for the Sydney Marathon, lululemon ambassador Jess Stenson runs on resilience https://www.russh.com/jess-stenson-lululemon-interview/ Thu, 07 Aug 2025 06:00:15 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=259207 As she prepares for the Sydney Marathon, the long hours of training are less about the finish line and more about what happens within.

The post Training for the Sydney Marathon, lululemon ambassador Jess Stenson runs on resilience appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
There’s a certain stillness that can only be found in motion. For Australian marathon runner and lululemon ambassador Jess Stenson, running has become more than a sport — it’s a moving meditation, and a grounding force.

As she prepares for the Sydney Marathon, the long hours of training are less about the finish line and more about what happens within: the ritual that begins in the early hours of the morning, and the emotional resilience that sharpens with each step forward. In the midst of chaos, running becomes a place to reset. It clears the noise, settles the mind, and brings her back to herself.

jess stensonJess Stenson, lululemon Ambassador

Motherhood, too, has only deepened her relationship with movement. These days, Stenson runs with more freedom and flexibility — no longer chasing perfection, but instead tuning in. The pressure to perform has softened into genuine appreciation for what her body can do, and the way running supports her in every other part of life.

Marathon training demands presence. There are no shortcuts, only the decision to show up — again and again. And Stenson does, not just as an athlete, but as someone who has built their way of life around movement. Running is where she reflects and recalibrates — physically, mentally, emotionally.

As a lululemon ambassador, Stenson is part of a community that sees running as something much bigger than pace or distance. Below, she shares with RUSSH the lessons the sport continues to teach her — from the mental tools that carry her through the final kilometres, to the small moments of calm and clarity she weaves into every run.

Fast and Free™ Tank *Light, Nulux™ Strappy-Back Sports Bra, and Translucent 2-in-1 High-Rise Short.

What drives you to show up, even when you don’t feel like training?

Since a very young age I have been driven to get the most out of myself. Key motivations throughout my career have been to explore my own potential and encourage more people to enjoy the benefits of exercise. It is special to be able to work towards this in partnership with lululemon as an Australian run ambassador. I feel stronger, healthier and happier when I am running on a regular basis but there are naturally times when my motivation wanes. Having clear goals, belief in my training plan, adequate sleep and friends to train with helps me to show up during these times. I remind myself that it is a privilege to be able to get out the door and run amongst nature.

A marathon is one of the hardest feats, both mental and physically. How do you keep pushing when you feel like there’s nothing left in the tank?

Conserving energy is the key during a marathon so when the going gets tough I try to stay as composed as possible. I draw upon past experiences to reassure myself that I am capable of the challenge and try to focus on one task at a time. Whether it be to relax my breathing, collect my drink, adjust my posture, tuck into a pack or fix my gaze on a landmark in the distance, I aim to bring my attention to the present moment rather than the potential outcome. At times I picture the people in my support team to fuel my motivation when my body wants to stop.

lululemonFast and Free™ Tank *Light, Nulux™ Strappy-Back Sports Bra, Translucent 2-in-1 High-Rise Short, Power Stride Socks, and Split Shift™ Running Shoe.

Besides the physical benefit of keeping fit, in what other ways does running benefit you?

Running clears my head and connects me with nature and people. It allows me to challenge myself as much as I want to and sends me home feeling energised and empowered for my day. lululemon’s Running Gives campaign reinforces the message that the more you give to running, the more it gives back. I have found that the more I engage in the running community, the more meaningful each experience becomes. I am shown the sheer power that running has to change lives for the better.

What is your favourite thing to run in? Are there any must-haves in your gym bag?

Right now I live in the new Fast and Free™ Light tank and the 8” shorts. The dual-zone Nulux™ fabric gives support where it’s needed and weightless freedom everywhere else. I pair them with the Split Shift™ running shoe for every day runs. Testing this gear and offering feedback to the lululemon team is an important part of my ambassador role.

In training for something as intense as a marathon, where do you find calm within the chaos?

I often refer to the saying, ‘your training is only as good as your ability to absorb it’. With time I have come to appreciate just how important it is to respect the recovery process both physically and mentally. A nutritious diet, quality time with family, good sleep and finding time to switch off from thinking about running are important recovery tools for me. When I consistently tick these boxes, I tend to feel more calm both on and off the track.

Fast and Free™ Tank *Light in Serene Blue, Nulux™ Strappy-Back Sports Bra in Nightmoth, Fast and Free™ HR Run 8” *Special Edition in Bay Leaf, Split Shift™ Running Shoe in Serene Blue and Power Stride Crew Socks in White.

Has motherhood shifted the way you run — not physically, but mentally or emotionally?

Motherhood has prompted me to reflect on the role that running plays in my life. I now have a greater appreciation for the outlet it provides and the way it supports my wellbeing in addition to any performance outcomes. I run with a stronger sense of gratitude, am more flexible with my training approach and listen to my body with greater acceptance. The feeling I get from running empowers me in my roles outside of running.

How would you describe the moment of crossing a finishing line?

I still remember the sense of satisfaction and pride I felt as a young schoolgirl when crossing the finish lines of cross country and track races. A feeling of fulfilment came from knowing that I had overcome self-doubt and discomfort to finish the race with nothing more to give. This feeling has been enriched over the years by the extra layers of planning, preparation, teamwork and challenges to overcome in order to reach any finish line. It is a moment to savour with the people who helped me to get there.

What has running taught you about discomfort — and your relationship with it?

My running career has shown me that discomfort comes in waves and is a natural part of the sport. I have learnt that challenges sharpen resilience and make the wins particularly meaningful. These days I try to face discomfort with an open mind and a sense of curiosity, knowing that it is a part of the journey forward.

Yoga is a pillar in so many of our lives. A reminder that if nothing else, we can always return to our breath. Our favourite classes always reflect this. Damp bodies flowing in a studio, pushing air through their nostrils and sighing in unison. Ahhh. Yes, movement is at the heart of yoga, but as the world outside churns with chaos the practice becomes a place of stillness. Of clarity, calm and connection.

Here in Sydney we’re blessed with a vibrant yoga community. As such, there are plenty of studios to choose from if you’re looking to lay down a mat. Below, we round up 10 of our favourites. Read on for the best Sydney yoga studios for beginners and well-seasoned yogis alike.

Tucked away into Darlinghurst, Be One has all the markings of a hardy local studio, polished floorboards, positive instructors and a flexible timetable.

Bare with me, this addition may seem rogue at first. But as someone who has practiced at Virgin Active — specifically the Blight St chapter — this is a luxe yoga experience. Studios are tidy with Manduka mats and complimentary bath towels, and cool perfumed wash cloths are handed out once class is finished. It’s quiet, it’s peaceful and the teachers (shoutout to Kate) know when to push and when to encourage kindness.

Bikram Yoga

With “state-of-the-art” studios and lululemon tights, the yoga itself can feel like a secondary experience. At this Darlinghurst powerhouse, they’ve stripped back all the wellness hubbub, hell they’ve even stripped off their clothes. The only thing that matters here is the practice. Rock up, take accountability for your energy and dig in. It’s a no frills yoga offering that truly is for everyone.

The post How to do pilates at home – with no fancy workout equipment needed appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
Let’s be real – gym memberships these days are expensive, and one of the first things to go from our budgets when tightening those purse strings. While we can always appreciate investing in our personal health and wellbeing – both mentally and physically – we’re often reminded that the ability to exercise is free, should we choose to double down on it.

Pilates is fast becoming one of the most sought-after gym classes, beloved for its low-impact nature, and ability to deliver results fast. But while everyone can’t afford – or physically fit – a reformer pilates machine into their lives and homes, you can do a lot of pilates workouts with no equipment, and in small spaces.

There are plenty of creators online that we think do an excellent job of putting together no-equipment pilates exercises for the spend-thrift or the minimalists amongst us. So below, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite no equipment pilates workouts you can do at home.

1. Lidia Mera’s 10-minute everyday hourglass workout

Length: 10 minutes

Mera’s TikTok and YouTube presence covers a range of easy-to-follow workouts that you can do without specialised pilates equipment, or knowledge. Her 10-minute everyday workout is an easy way to dip your toes into the world of pilates at home, without having to dedicate an hour or more to the practice.

  2. Move with Nicole 30 Min Full Body Workout

Length: 30 minutes

Move with Nicole’s pilates videos offer a wide range of workout options – whether you’re looking to target a certain part of the body, or simply get an over-all workout in. Nicole’s half-hour-long videos are a great introduction to at-home pilates, and challenging in all the right ways.

3. Sanne Vloet 24 Min Pilats Flow to Improve Posture

Length: 24 minutes

Vloet is a former Victoria’s Secret model – so we trust her when it comes to working out. This 24-minute pilates flow on her YouTube channel is aimed at improving your posture and is well-structured to create the perfect mix of strength and stretch. The best part? You don’t need much space, or any equipment.

4. Well+Good 10 Minute Full Body Pilates

Length: 10 minutes

Pilates trainer Chloe de Winter’s series of 10 minute workouts on Well+Good’s channel offer quick but effective workouts you can do anywhere, at any time. It’s all about quality over quantity for de Winter, so you’ll feel the heat even though the length is short.

5. Callie Jardine’s 10 Minute Beginner Pilates Routine

Length: 10 minutes

If the world of pilates feels overwhelming as a beginner, Callie Jardine’s channel is a calm and easy. Jardine’s incorporation of positive affirmations and slow pacing ensure that you feel motivated both mentally and physically throughout your workout – no matter where you’re at.

6. Fluidform’s gentle postpartum movement guide

Length: 15 minutes

Kirsten King of Fluidform Pilates gave RUSSH her 15-minute guide to gentle, postpartum movement for new mothers. King says postpartum pilates should be focussed on gentle and steady movement – and that everyone’s journey through it will look different.

All the gear you need if running was your 2025 resolution https://www.russh.com/best-sportswear-running-clothes/ Wed, 28 May 2025 07:00:49 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=240800 Make your 2025 resolution a reality.

The post All the gear you need if running was your 2025 resolution appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
If 2025 was the year you’ve decided to lace up your sneakers and take up running, it’s not too late. The new year brings a fresh start and the opportunity to set new goals, and for many of us on the RUSSH team, that included entering our running era. But if you feel like you’ve left your run too late (no pun intended), don’t fret. There’s still over half the year left to clock up some serious kilometers.

It seems we’re part of a larger movement: from run clubs to TikTok diaries tracking every step, running is quickly becoming the activity of the moment. More and more, people are turning to this simple yet effective form of exercise to improve their fitness, clear their minds, and challenge their bodies in new ways.

But before you hit the pavement, there’s one thing you need: the right gear. From shoes that support every stride to tech that tracks your progress, having the right equipment can make all the difference between a fleeting resolution and a long-lasting running habit.

Fortunately, brands have definitely caught on to the growing interest in running, stepping up their game with a range of high-performance sportswear, running clothes, and accessories that aren’t only function, but also look cute, too. Whether you’re just starting out or you’re aiming to set new personal records, the gear you choose can be a game changer in setting you up for success. Wondering what to wear running? Below, we’ve rounded up the must-have gear that will help you make the most of your running journey.

A supportive sports bra

The girls who get it, get it. No matter your bust size, to feel comfortable on your next run, you’ll want a bra that holds everything in place without feeling suffocating. And it helps if you feel cute, too.

Lululemon Energy Bra High Support

This bra is designed with running in mind. It features removable foam cups (for both coverage and shape), plus adjustable double-crossback straps and a hook-and-eye closer, so you can adjust for your perfect fit.

Adidas Fast Impact Luxe Run High-Support Bra

This bra is poised for high-impact activity, from running to HIIT training. With sizes to suit cup sizes A – D, it’s not only supportive, but also sweat-wicking, so you stay comfortable and dry.

Lorna Jane Easy Zip On Max Support Sports Bra

lorna jane bra

If you’ve ever struggled to pull a tight sports bra over you, Lorna Jane has heard your pain. This bra features a front zip, so you slip it on and off with ease. There’s also adjustable straps, bounce-resistant lining, and a compressive adjustable underbust band

The right shoes

You won’t know pain until you run in unsuitable shoes. Sadly, that means the pair you wear on your daily Hot Girl Walk might not be suitable for attempting your first 5k. While it’s worth paying a visit to a running specialist to get properly fitted for the perfect pair of running shoes, here are a few styles to help get you started.

HOKA Bondi 9

Hoka Bondi 9

The HOKA Bondi 9s come with maximum cushioning, making them ideal for long walks and runs (up to a marathon distance) on harder surfaces like the road.

Lululemon Women’s Beyondfeel Running Shoe

lululemon running shoes

We trust Lululemon with everything related to workout wear, so why should shoes be any different? This style is perfect for the everyday runner, looking to embark on shorter distances as well as walks.

ASICS GEL-Kayano 31

asics gel kayano

The GEL-KAYANO 31 was built with stability and grip in mind. These are your best friend if your choosing to take your running off the beaten track, thanks to the cushioning and stability features.

Shorts and leggings that go the distance

Whether you prefer to rock shorts or slip into leggings, non-restrictive, sweat-wicking styles are a must for every type of run.

Nike Swift Women’s Dri-FIT Mid-Rise 2-in-1 Running Shorts

nike shorts

Can’t decide between tight and loose? These shorts do them both. There’s a tight inner layer and a loose outer one, for ultimate comfort and coverage. There’s also plenty of pockets, to keep your hands free while you run.

Lululemon Swift Speed High-Rise Tight 28″

lululemon tights

In the chillier months, or if you prefer full coverage year-round, these tights are soft and sleek, plus feature side and back pockets, and internal drawstring, and a reflective finish.

LNDR LIMITLESS 5″ Bike Short Black

LNDR shorts

When you know you’re going to get sweaty, it pays to have shorts that are lightweight. These ones are fast drying and won’t show any sweat patches, plus the signature waistband technology panel provides extra support around the waistline.

Wireless headphones

Whether you prefer to tune out to a podcast or blast the Wicked soundtrack, a great pair of headphones will ensure your next run flies by.

Shokz OpenRun Pro 2

shokz

You don’t need to compromise on sound quality to find a pair of headphones that are built for running. Shockz OpenRun Pro 2 are equipped with wind-resistant microphones to ensure crystal-clear phone conversations even in extremely windy conditions. Plus, they’re comfortable and secure fit offers peace of mind during your run, and the battery lasts up to 12 hours.

Apple AirPods 4

In case you’ve somehow missed the hype, the latest AirPods 4 offer automatic sound adjustment, crystal-clear quality, and five hours of listening time on a single charge.

Bang and Olufsen Beoplay Eleven

Beoplay 11

If it’s headphones that look as chic as they sound, look no further. They’re also dust and waterproof, and come equipped with a customisable fit, so you stay comfortable during your run.

A running vest or belt

Free up your hands with a vest or belt that makes space for your essentials, from your phone and keys, to energy gels. A must-have companion if you’re looking to embark on longer runs this year.

LSKD Rep Run Belt 2.0

lskd belt

Keep your essentials like your phone, keys, and energy gels neatly tucked away in this streamlined, water-resistant running pouch. There’s also a fully adjustable strap and a moisture-protective bonded zip, for a perfect, snug fit.

2XU Run Hydration Vest

2xu vest

For longer runs, this vest has you covered. The soft mesh streps and bungee cord adjuster ensure a comfortable fit, while two water flask pockets and two zip pockets mean you can take your essentials on the go. There’s also a stash pouch at the back that’s perfect for storing a jacket.

Sun protection

A no-brainer, no matter what time of year you’re beginning your running journey. Properly protecting your skin from the sun should include sunglasses, a hat and, of course, a great sunscreen.

Oakley Radar EV Path Sunglasses

Oakley sunglasses

These frames are ultra lightweight, and come equipped with colour and contrast-enhancing lenses, plus earsocks and nosepads for increased comfort and performance. So you can look like a professional runner, even if you don’t always feel like one.

Polo Ralph Lauren Embroidered cotton-twill cap

We know it’s tempting to reach for your regular cap when you head out for a run, but trust us when we say a visor is worth the investment. Not only is this one quick drying and reflective, but it also features an adjustable back, so you can wear your hair however you like while you clock up some kilometers.

Ultra Violette Fave Fluid SPF50+ Ultralight SKINSCREEN

SPF is a no-brainer, and we love this lightweight iteration by Ultra Violette.

Inside the quiet: Ryan Brabazon’s intimate return to the Sydney Swans locker room https://www.russh.com/sydney-swans-ryan-brabazon/ Wed, 28 May 2025 00:30:08 +0000 https://www.russh.com/?p=252977 “Knowing what they’re experiencing allowed me to appreciate their perspective – and to know when to lift my camera, or put it down.”

The post Inside the quiet: Ryan Brabazon’s intimate return to the Sydney Swans locker room appeared first on RUSSH.

]]>
There’s something about the weight of memory – the way it settles into muscle, how it lingers in a room long after the final whistle. For photographer Ryan Brabazon, the Sydney Swans change room isn’t just a place of preparation and sweat-slick rituals – it’s a personal landscape. Once a player himself, Brabazon returns not as athlete, but as documentarian, camera in hand, attuned to the stillness between sprints.

His images are quiet and visceral – a freckled face staring down the lens, a body folded over in exhaustion, the quiet clatter of boots in the tunnel. “Having a deep respect and understanding of the players went a long way when it came to capturing authentic moments,” Brabazon shared. “Knowing what they’re experiencing allowed me to appreciate their perspective – and to know when to lift my camera, or put it down.”

“There were moments I remembered from when I played – the isolation, the inner chaos masked by routine. Since I left the football club, I’d always wanted to return and shoot honest photos that reflected my experiences. They were often confronting and challenging.”

There’s an honesty here that cuts through the usual spectacle of sport. Instead of action shots and stadium roars, we see solitude, recovery, closeness. “Despite football being a team sport, there are so many moments where you’re totally alone with your thoughts,” he reflects. “Even in a crowded change room, you’re disconnected – and those are the moments that stood out to me the most.”

For Brabazon, this body of work is more than documentary – it’s a reckoning. “Football was everything to me, but it didn’t unfold the way I imagined. I distanced myself from it,” he says. “Returning now gave me a chance to reconnect to something that once defined me – and to see it in a new light.”

“I think sport shows something pretty real about being human,” he adds. “It’s less about winning and losing – it becomes a source of meaning. All that time and energy poured into something that might never fully come together? That’s what shapes us.”

The result is a love letter in reverse – tender but unsentimental, raw but reverent. In Brabazon’s lens, football becomes a vessel for something greater than glory. It becomes about the pursuit itself – the ritual, the resilience, the repetitions that shape who we are, even when no one’s watching.

I’ve been a Pilates nut for about a year, and nothing comes close to the feeling of completing yet another class to alleviate all the aches and knots in my body. In that time I’ve changed hands with many studios. I’ve busted my derriere on mats, reformer beds, and the hardwood floors of my own home. I love the flexibility and function of classes in every form, and how they set me up — physically and mentally — for the day ahed.

Though Joseph Pilates’ initial creation sought to rehabilitate injured soldiers after WWI, in recent decades, Pilates has received a new lease on life. It’s a fact more evident than ever, with CELINE’s debut Pilates collection. The French fashion House is merging its signature luxury craftsmanship with functional workout essentials, so you can lengthen and lean in the utmost style.

For those looking to upgrade their home workout equipment, the drop comes equipped with exactly the equipment you need to do so. And if you prefer to sweat it out on a reformer at your favourite Pilates studio, now there’s a CELINE-approved wardrobe to do it in. Think: sports bras and leggings, plus jackets and sweaters to carry your from the car, straight to your reformer.

Below, book into your next class and get acquainted with CELINE’s Pilates drop.

What does the drop include?

The drop features a range of yoga mats, kettle bells, dumbbell weights and, our favourite of all, a Triomphe Canvas Reformer machine. Yep, an actual CELINE-branded reformer machine. Each piece is crafted from luxurious materials like natural calfskin, mirror-polished steel, and cork, to make your next workout as luxurious and comfortable as possible. There’s also a Triomphe Canvas gym bag, to package up all your goodies.

You can also upgrade your workout wardrobe, with technical jersey sports bras, leggings, cycling shorts, and athletic crop tops, designed for sleek and easy movement. And complete the athleisure look with the likes of long cashmere coats and flannel or leather jackets, merino wool sweaters, baseball caps and sneakers.

Where to buy the CELINE Pilates collection?

The collection is now available to shop online.
