This is the kind of scene awaiting the RUSSH<\/em> team as we make our way north for the European summer. Considering a trip of your own? Or just here to snoop through our suitcases? Either way, we\u2019ve laid it all out. Below, what the RUSSH<\/em> editors are packing for summer in Europe, 2025.<\/p>\n

Sue me, I\u2019m that annoying team member who\u2019s about to gallivant around Greece for a month. I stayed put in the Sydney winter last year, so I feel well overdue for a summer escapade. Luckily for you guys, (and me, as I sat down to write this), I spent the weekend digging through my closet to curate the perfect Grecian summer suitcase capsule. Which means I get to share a genuine packing list \u2013 and a few more wishlist items I\u2019m hoping to pick up before I go.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

No European summer is complete without the perfect raffia tote, and no one does it better than Helen Kaminski. I adore the size of the <\/span>Aquarius Hobo<\/span><\/a> because there\u2019s enough room for all the essentials without being overbearing. You can carry it as a top handle or with the cross-body strap \u2013 both essential options for travel.<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been predominantly shopping from my own wardrobe for this trip \u2013 which, a) has been part of my commitment to lower my fashion consumption in 2025, and b) has been a great sign that the pieces in my wardrobe are true representations of my style and reflect quality that lasts. I\u2019ll be taking my trusty <\/span>Henne Seri short in black<\/span><\/a>, and I practically live in this <\/span>Matteu ribbed knit tank<\/span><\/a>, which will serve as the perfect elevated basic. As far as comfort goes, I\u2019ll be rotating between my go-to black Havaianas<\/a> and these <\/span>Zimmermann tie-up sandals<\/span><\/a>. The cobblestones aren\u2019t for the faint of heart, and I won\u2019t be risking an ankle break \u2013 no matter how cute my heels are. I did purchase one new outfit for the trip, courtesy of Faithfull\u2019s new drop which was inspired by Hydra in Greece \u2013 it felt serendipitous. The <\/span>Karys Pant Mandraki Floral<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Karys Shirt Mandraki Floral<\/span><\/a> were love at first sight, and I basically keeled over when I saw there was <\/span>a matching swimsuit<\/span><\/a>. The set is like the resort wear final boss, and I cannot wait to wear it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lastly, beauty. I won\u2019t be wearing any foundation on this trip, but I will be living in my favourite beauty purchase of the last year, the <\/span>CHANEL Les Beiges Fresh Water Tint<\/span><\/a>. Haircare is also a major consideration for me, being in and out of the water and sun, so I won\u2019t be going anywhere without packing <\/span>K\u00e9rastase Nutritive Hair Mask<\/span><\/a> and travel size <\/span>K\u00e9rastase Elixir Ultime Hair Oil<\/span><\/a>. I am still on the hunt for a new solution to my eyeshadow routine \u2013 I\u2019m thinking cream eye shadow sticks? Any thoughts and suggestions are most welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

The number one thing on my Euro packing list this year is boxer shorts. I don\u2019t care if they were a trend that has now passed us by, they are the most comfortable, most practical item of clothing I own. Can I wear them to bed? Yes. Can I throw them over swimmers? Also yes. Will I also be wearing them with a blazer as a dinner outfit? You bet.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These <\/span>red Commi Si one<\/span><\/a>s have been on my wishlist for forever (as have the black and the green), but <\/span>these oversized denim Calvin Klein ones<\/span><\/a>, or <\/span>these blue and white striped Skims ones<\/span><\/a> are probably more within my budget. I\u2019ll be pairing with my ride or die <\/span>Neuw Denim white singlet<\/span><\/a> (I\u2019ll be packing about three), and <\/span>a pair of sambas<\/span><\/a>. The <\/span>Bad Bunny x adidas collab version<\/span><\/a> is also seriously tempting me. They feel like if sambas, ballet flats and Salomons had a love child?<\/span><\/p>\n

I am a sun safe queen, which means that I don\u2019t go anywhere without a hat. I\u2019ve just discovered that <\/span>my favourite SIR. cap now comes in brat green<\/span><\/a> (!!!) which will go perfectly with the <\/span>green string bikini<\/span><\/a> I\u2019ve got my eye on. Don\u2019t forget sunnies and <\/span>these tortoiseshell ones<\/span><\/a> are the perfect way to elevate an outfit.<\/span>Last but not least, dresses and I\u2019m deciding between three, all also from SIR. <\/span>One for dining<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>one for dancing<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>one for throwing over togs<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

I had planned not to do Europe this year, but a last minute opportunity to head to Portugal has come up. So, my suitcase is out and ready to be filled. Here is the formula I use for most warm-weather trips. I always start with <\/span>a loose pair of denim shorts<\/span><\/a>, a <\/span>black one piece swimsuit<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>a white shirt<\/span><\/a>. Next has to be a couple of pairs of linen pants, I love the <\/span>pairs they have at Faithfull<\/span><\/a>. I\u2019m still wearing a pair I bought four years ago, they\u2019re so timeless. I\u2019ve packed three easy-to-wear dresses that can be dressed up or down, <\/span>a trusty Realisaion number<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>a Matteau piece<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>this new one I bought from Rouje<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>A basket bag<\/span><\/a>, hat and <\/span>pair of chic slides finish it all off<\/span><\/a>. Then all you need to add are some tees and singlets and you\u2019ll have a chic, capsule holiday wardrobe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As for beauty, start with sunscreen and lots of it. I always bring <\/span>Ultra Violette for body<\/span><\/a> and my new favourite <\/span>DMK for face<\/span><\/a>. <\/span>Emma Lewisham\u2019s oil cleanser<\/span><\/a> to wash it all off at the end of the day and <\/span>Synergie Skin\u2019s barrier cream<\/span><\/a> if you accidentally got a bit too much sun. <\/span>Glossier Futuredew is my foundation substitute<\/span><\/a>, paired with <\/span>YSL Beauty\u2019s Touche E\u2019clat concealer<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>Flavedo\u2019s dew tint blush<\/span><\/a> and a <\/span>Sisley mascara<\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

While I’m not going to Europe in peak summer, I will<\/em> be in Paris in Autumn time. And for the warmer days, here is what I will be bringing. Firstly, a good skincare routine as I find the water and air quality in Europe a bit harsher than in Australia. And luckily my first product is easy to find in Paris: <\/span>Avene\u2019s Cicalfate and restore cream <\/span><\/a>is l<\/span>ike a glass of water for quenched or damaged skin. My <\/span>Rationale skin tint<\/span><\/a> is another must-have, a<\/span>nd to protect my hair I will bring my trusty <\/span>Kerastase Shampoo for thin hair<\/span><\/a> and my <\/span>hydrating conditioner<\/span><\/a>. I just got a Canon Super 8 camera which I am beyond excited to bring with me to Europe. I realised I only have carry-on luggage so I will need a check-in suitcase. I love this forest green glossy one from<\/span> Rimowa<\/span><\/a>. I love a midi skirt moment for Summer too, so one from <\/span>Guizio<\/span><\/a> is a must.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m swapping Euro summer for Euro winter this year, so I\u2019ll be skiing instead of swimming (I will, however, be spritzing \u2014 an activity that appeals to me 365 days a year). But I can still lean on past travels to curate a packing list for those of you jetting off. I\u2019m known for lugging a 30 kilo suitcase on even the shortest of trips, so I do try and prioritise lightweight fabrics as well as pieces with multiple uses. <\/span>Havaianas<\/span><\/a> are non-negotiable, as are leather thongs for more dressed up occasions. I have a pair of <\/span>these<\/span><\/a> at home and think they\u2019re perfect because the rubbery sole offers some traction on cobblestone streets. No one wants to go down on the sidewalk en route to a pasta dinner. I love a good sarong, the best I\u2019ve found is <\/span>Monday Swim<\/span><\/a> (I have three colours and wear them all to death). Also on my list would be this <\/span>easy slip dress<\/span><\/a> from P Johnson, and <\/span>this perfect black straw bucket bag<\/span><\/a>, currently listed in the Net-A-Porter sale for 50% off. Small enough for lunch, but big enough for the beach\u2026 No holiday wardrobe is complete without a one piece, either. The chocolate colourway, straight across neckline and adjustable straps render <\/span>this one from Jets<\/span><\/a> perfect. I am not the one to ask for beauty packing advice (I don\u2019t travel light) but I can recommend the <\/span>Rationale global travel kit<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>Officine Universelle Buly Heliotrope perfume<\/span><\/a> as the ideal creamy summer scent. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sadly, I\u2019ll be staying put this winter (until a Japan trip this spring), but here are a few essentials I packed for my euro trip last year that I wouldn\u2019t go back without. First is a <\/span>July Checked Plus Trunk<\/span><\/a>. It fits everything, it\u2019s chic, water-resistant and crush-proof. I\u2019ve been a ModiBodi fan for years now, but their new <\/span>Swimwear Short<\/span><\/a> and <\/span>Swimwear Multiway Top<\/span><\/a> are a new must for me. I\u2019m really digging these slouchy <\/span>Stella McCartney Blue Faded Wide-Leg High-Rise Jeans<\/span><\/a> (the perfect jean for pairing with a nice top \u2013 like this Aje Pandorea Layered Top<\/a> \u2013 or a bikini). For a scent: ideally it\u2019s <\/span>Dries Van Noten Soie Malaquais<\/span><\/a>, paired with a simple, <\/span>Salt & Stone Santal & Vetiver Natural Deodorant<\/span><\/a> (my recent new fave).<\/span><\/p>\n

In my head I\u2019m going to Europe this summer, so in my imaginary bag, I’d be packing a good pair of walking shoes \u2013 these <\/span>grey ones from New Balance<\/span><\/a> are a nice retro shape and good neutral colour. My absolute go-to travel bag is my <\/span>Yu Mei Brooke Bag: <\/span><\/a>it is the perfect size for my personal items on planes, and is so comfortable to carry and wear on long days exploring new cities. In a similar colour palette is this gorgeous <\/span>Al\u00e9mais<\/span><\/a> dress that would match the blue hues of the Greek islands perfectly. I tend to get a bit lazy with my skincare when travelling, which is bad as the change in time zones and weather means I need to be extra vigilant to protect my skin! I\u2019d opt for a full face of Emma Lewisham (those bottles look gorgeous on a hotel counter top), namely their <\/span>SPF 50 mineral creme<\/span><\/a> for protection on my long walks and the <\/span>Supernatural Sleeping Mask<\/span><\/a> so my skin looks photo ready every morning. Oh, and we can\u2019t forget my favourite hat, my <\/span>GWS Giants cap<\/span><\/a> hehe.<\/span><\/p>\n

While I don\u2019t have a Europe trip planned this year, I have some sartorial wisdom to bestow on those who are heading away, from my travels last year. If you\u2019re shopping for new pieces, make Faithfull The Brand your first stop. They do beautiful linen and cute swimwear so well \u2013 all of which you\u2019ll wear again back in Australia. I love <\/span>this<\/span><\/a> striped set and <\/span>chocolate brown bikini<\/span><\/a>. Another hero brand of my 2024 Europe wardrobe was Venroy \u2013 in particular, these <\/span>cotton poplin pants<\/span><\/a>. They\u2019ve also just released a new collection, and if <\/span>this sheer one-shoulder top<\/span><\/a> doesn\u2019t make you think of a Mediterranean holiday, I don\u2019t know what will. I\u2019m also a big fan of a sarong for travel. It\u2019s lightweight and, if you do it well, incredibly chic. My pick is <\/span>this one by Lucy Folk,<\/span><\/a> for some colour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beauty-wise, it goes without saying that SPF is essential. I am fiercely loyal to <\/span>this one by Ultra Violette<\/span><\/a>. I also recently tried <\/span>their body sunscreen<\/span><\/a> and loved it (it smells delicious). I like to keep the rest of my makeup bag relatively light. For me, the essentials are my <\/span>Merit Beauty Flush Balm in Apr\u00e9s<\/span><\/a> (it doubles as a lip tint), <\/span>Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Freeze<\/span><\/a> (if you have thick eyebrows, you know), <\/span>Kosas concealer<\/span><\/a>, and <\/span>CHANEL bronzer<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
